Every issue can be described from two different viewpoints. In order to have a spherical opinion about global warming, it is our duty to read and then respond to the opinions of people who disagree with us. If you have any disagreements with anything that is written on this website, we would like to know and come up with a response.

Viewpoint: Changes in the earth’s orbit have the result that the earth receives more energy from the sun.

Response:
The changes in temperature we are seeing now are happening in a couple of hundred years. The above natural changes need thousands of years to present a change in earth's temperature.

Viewpoint: Variability in sun spot activity is causing the climate changes.

Response: These changes have happened before but did not have such effect in such a short amount of time.

Viewpoint: The main greenhouse gas is the water vapors and the CO2 has a negligible effect.

Response: The water vapors were present even before the industrial age and did not have such effect in earth's temperature. After the industrial age where CO2 concentration increased, the earth's temperature increased too.

Viewpoint: Global warming is negligible

Response: Global warming effects have made their appearance. Droughts are common phenomenon in Africa. Countries in Mediterranean Sea are experiencing decreased rainfalls. Countries in Central Europe are experiencing floods as a result of increased rainfalls. We are experiencing more extreme weather conditions. Increasing temperatures will cause melting of continental ice sheets and thermal expansion of the seas which will result in the sea level rising.

Viewpoint: The threat of global warming is fake and any measurements to solve it, aim to weaken the economy and power of USA.

Answer: Effects of global warming are obvious and there is no logical reason for environmentalists to try to weaken the U.S. economy and power. Not only environmentalist groups think climate change is due to human activity, this is taken from NASAs website: "Most scientists agree the main cause of the current global warming trend is human expansion of the "greenhouse effect" -- warming that results when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space."
Fossil fuels are finite resources and the consumption is growing. This of course cannot continue in the long run, and the difference in supply and demand will cause the energy prices to increase.
Moreover renewable forms of energy are more sustainable, because wind and sun are in abundance.

Viewpoint: Measurements and climate models are inaccurate and it is not proved with a 100% certainty that climate change is happening because of human activities.

Response: The effects in earth's climate reinforce the results of the climate models predicting an environmental catastrophe. Of course climate models are not a 100% accurate, but is it worth taking the risk? The consequences by not taking any action, if climate change is caused by human activity will be devastating to the world.

Viewpoints: CO2 is not a pollutant and it's beneficiary for plants.

Response: It is correct that CO2 is beneficiary for plants, but extreme weather, desertification, floods and droughts are not. There are far more negative than positive consequences for the environment with increased CO2 levels.
Venus atmosphere has a big concentration of CO2 making Venus an inhabitable planet.

Viewpoint: Increased rainfalls will help the agriculture

Response: The increased rainfalls cause floods which have more devastating effects than benefits. Also, the increased rainfall is not distributed well. Parts of the world will suffer from droughts and some parts will suffer from floods.
